The goal was to convey my favorite hobbies and interests in life using black and white aesthetics to create a brand that puts people at ease (since my interests have always been drawing or computer peripherals). With just the keyword 'bay', I hope people will remember this brand name as it is very easy to recall (only 3 letters!).

How did the logo form?
I researched online a multitude of my favorite logos based on popular computer accessories brands such as Corsair, Logitech, Nvidia, SteelSeries, and Razer. I initially wanted Design 1 to be my main logo since a cove is similar to a bay. I wanted the logo to relate to the sea. However, that did not make any sense, so Design 2 was chosen. Design 2 was based on the SteelSeries design, which is supposed to reflect a modern, monochrome color scheme and simplicity in the thick usage of lines. The logo looks somewhat generic but works well as an impactful logo.

Why did I choose this color/design scheme?
Blue is my favourite color since I was a adolescent children, I wanted to stick to a navy blue, which convey loyalty. Then use the color to pair well together with the silhouette.

Design Process:
I drew 5 sketches of logo designs, including a few that I scrapped. It was difficult to combine PC accessories and my hobby of drawing into a logo without it becoming too convoluted or complicated. This is why I decided to just keep the ship's flags and my name. However, the ship's flags could also be misinterpreted; for example, viewers might think that I support software piracy. The name 'Yong Khiong' was included below the text as suggested by Jean Lim. I am not sure what is the reason, I guess it's to let the viewers know that it's a logo by me and refers to the school topic "About Myself". In conclusion, Design 2 is the most simplistic design since it's just my name with a touch of the SteelSeries logo.
